Frequently Asked Questions About Perimeter Protection
Perimeter protection is designed to prevent unauthorised access by securing the boundary of a property using physical barriers and electronic security systems.
Common types of perimeter protection include CCTV systems, motion sensors, security fencing, walls, and automated gates, often used together for stronger protection.
The most effective system is a tailored combination of physical barriers and electronic detection designed around the specific risks and layout of your property.
Perimeter protection secures the outer boundary of a site, while access control manages who can enter internal buildings or restricted areas.
Professional installation ensures the system is correctly designed for the site, reducing vulnerabilities and improving overall security performance.
Regular testing, inspections, and maintenance are needed to ensure all components such as sensors, cameras, and alarms are functioning correctly.
At least once a year, although higher-risk sites may require more frequent maintenance.
Yes, modern systems can be integrated with access control systems to provide centralised monitoring and improved security management.
Installation time depends on the size and complexity of the site, ranging from a single day for small systems to several days for larger installations.
A professional company ensures the system is correctly specified, installed, and maintained for reliable long-term protection.
